I need to buy this. The video for his cover of "Must Be Santa" is totally classic.

I am more for the Christmas single than the Christmas album. Like to compile different acts doing their act on different Christmas songs, as many originals as possible but then also the occasional trad Christmas song thrown in here and there.

Of course Phil Spector has more or less defined the entire Christmas rock style, so his Christmas album is the one to namecheck if one wants one album from the same source.

My dad was a huge Herb Alpert/TJB fan. One Christmas, when I was a kid on a limited budget, I bought him this budget soundalike. Playing it became such a family tradition that years later I bought my own:

This got played more than any other Xmas record in my house when I was growing up:

Genuinely like the Jethro Tull Christmas album (playing now). Also Don Ross's, which might appeal to folk guitar brigade: https://donross.bandcamp.com/album/flake-wintertide-bundle. Vince Guaraldi and Bruce Cockburn other favourites around this time.
