my plane is finally in the air and should be here in 45 miinutes @_@ we'll see. i opted to read ilx instead of something new and interesting!

bell_labs, Monday, 30 April 2007 01:23 (seventeen years ago) link

Haha omg for a moment there I thought you meant the plane was in the air with you in it! I was all "awesome, ILX posting while flying".

Trayce, Monday, 30 April 2007 01:24 (seventeen years ago) link

i wish!

bell_labs, Monday, 30 April 2007 01:27 (seventeen years ago) link

rrrobyn, Monday, 30 April 2007 01:29 (seventeen years ago) link

Curt1s Stephens, Monday, 30 April 2007 01:33 (seventeen years ago) link

rrrobyn, Monday, 30 April 2007 01:54 (seventeen years ago) link

SONGS THAT ARE ALWAYS RUNNING THROUGH MY HEAD WHEN I'M AT AN AIRPORT:

"Just A Song Before I Go" by CS&N
"One Wink At A Time" by The Replacements
"Flying Into Los Angeles" by Arlo Guthrie

Pleasant Plains, Saturday, 2 June 2007 16:16 (sixteen years ago) link

i'm in miami! i feel like david caruso. YYYYEAAAAH! (this airport is horrible btw.)

get bent, Sunday, 3 June 2007 02:02 (sixteen years ago) link

I so did not think much of Miami's airport the one time I was there, the exception being the Cuban sandwiches (which I'm sure are much better in town and all but compared to most airport food in general are manna from heaven).

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 3 June 2007 02:03 (sixteen years ago) link

Most beautiful airport (for real): Ushuaia in southern Argentina. Small, modern, all wood, huge ceilings.

calstars, Sunday, 3 June 2007 02:07 (sixteen years ago) link

the food options in american airlines terminal d are the pits. orange chicken is dodgy as a general rule, but this was a whole new level of bad.

get bent, Sunday, 3 June 2007 02:21 (sixteen years ago) link

"One Wink At A Time" by The Replacements

not "waitress in the sky"?

get bent, Sunday, 3 June 2007 02:22 (sixteen years ago) link

It should, but instead I get "Wink" going just by seeing the words BAGGAGE CLAIM up on the sign.

Pleasant Plains, Sunday, 3 June 2007 02:36 (sixteen years ago) link

Been here since 445. It is so early! I am so tired! 3 hours of sleep owww.

Vancouver airport has free wireless. Hurray!

It's the strangest airport I've been to on my 10 week trip. It has a tiny waterfall and native art dotted around the place. More airports should be like this...

What is everybody's nomination for best airport food? I haven't been in many, and haven't hung around to eat in the all the ones I've been in, but Detroit had a long concourse with a bunch of decent looking eats, and I was able to get sushi during a short layover.

Figs at Laguardia

Rock Hardy, Sunday, 19 August 2007 17:11 (sixteen years ago) link

Elvis Telecom, Monday, 20 August 2007 04:23 (sixteen years ago) link

I should have sought out this one the last time I was there. I had an hour to kill since after loading everyone on the plane and having us fasten the seat belts, they figured out there was a "loose piece of metal" on the bottom of the plane and we'd have to switch planes.

The Anchor Steam Brew Pub in the airport made a nice tuna sandwich that my expense account paid for, though.

Hello from Dubai. Only two hours to go before my connecting flight, but fortunately I have an excellent buffet not ten yards from my chair. I have been at the mini pittas and halloumi. But my body clock is fucked.
