I can't lie, I must admit - classic

total classic. it's so incredibly drippy and sentimental -- imagine if you replaced "stripper" with "secretary"! it would be unlistenable! this song could not be about anything other than a stripper, ergo it is k-classic. the only dud is Mike Jones, but how is that news.

one day i will make an Implausible Slow Jams mixtape. it will include "Santa Knockin' Da Boots", "F@#! You Tonight" and will open with this songs.

I resisted its charms for some time, but there's something about the way that laser synth line interlocks with the rootsy acoustic guitar that I find fascinating.

Also: "the night thing" = most hilarious euphemism for sex ever

yes, and the way the whistly synth line sort of naïvely doubles the vocal melody on the chorus. also the cognitive dissonance of the singer flexing his melisma on such lines as "she can pop it, she can lock it..."

Huge dud, and one of my least favorite clock-radio assaults in the morning. I HATE the way the vocal line EXACTLY follows the synth on "She rockin', she rollin'" or whatever. Grating.

clock-radio assaults

i like this phrase, and agree this song wouldn't exactly be welcome at 6:30 a.m. on a work day.
