Nerd Alert*-I learned this weekend that prostitutes in Rome used to ply their trade under supporting archways, or forna, hence the word fornicate. (Thanks, Monica!) This may be related, I don't know.

I think Stephen King's deliberately misspelling "fornit sum fornus." But other than "sum" being "I am" I don't have a clue.
It could be mock Latin, a schoolboy joke... I googled, but the best I got was that "fornus" could be a form of furnus (= oven, furnace).
