Wait wait wait, explain why "Safe From Harm" is not a proper wedding song?

Well, for a start, it's quite a bit on the dark side. Lyrically, "But If You Hurt What's Mine...I'll Sure As Hell Retaliate!" isn't quite the sentiment for the occaission. Great song...one of my favorites...but not quite the right one for the job.

It's a little sinister-sounding for a wedding maybe, but I don't see why that should be a barrier.

I Just Wanna by KISS

"Damaged" or whatever it's called by the Rolling Stones.

"I'm down in Virginia, with your cousin, Lou! There'll be no wedding todaaaayyyy!"

Sheer genius.

Oh, I shouldn't drink coffee, my ulcer is killing me.

That Smog tune:

"I'm going to get drunk, so drunk, at your wedding"

I weep kaluha at the very thought.

Nick Lowe's "I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll", and Aphex Twin, "Boy/Girl Song" would be mine...

Is "Ladies and Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space" too cheesy and cliched?

How about "Get It On Tonite" by Montell Jordan?

VU's "I'm sticking with you" - I supplied this one when I was best man and it struck an amusingly desperate cloying note.

I know someone who is actually going to play "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse" by Pink Floyd. Needless to say, I can only speculate on their mental state ...

Speaking of cloying and desperate, howabout "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" by Ricky and Christina?
