I find it hard to judge Robbie Williams' music, as whenever I hear him I drift off into a sweet dreamy reverie in which I'm wearing hobnail boots and tapdancing on his groin.

I love the album after two listens - almost certainly in my top ten for the year.

Could have either been through Claire Worrall, Stephen Duffy's piano player and backing vocalist - she also works with Robbie Williams; or it could have been through Nick Rhodes, as Robbie Williams was touring with Duran Duran before the collaboration crystallized. Duffy is also photographer to the 'stars', so may have met Robbie Williams on a commission. What does it matter how they got together, we have the album and the album is..

What else is in your top ten?

Aimee Mann, Bocephus King, Jason Mraz, Alison Moyet, the Churchills, Al Green, maybe Herbie Hancock, maybe Missy Elliott, at least one more TBD. Given these tastes, any recommendations welcome. :)

Jason Mraz? I worry, sir.

I'm glad Stephen has a pension scheme at last - but I'd far rather get some new material from him directly - or indeed the Lilac Time. I finally got to see them about a year or so back and it was amazing. As it is he is touring with Robbie and has suggested that new material is a long way off.
