susan, we have a crazy project coming up where we'll be working a minimum of 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. we should have started by now but the team that needs to give us the code that we need to start testing is running tragically behind. Its not their fault. Its just a ridiculously tight deadline. One woman I was teleconferencing with at midnight last night told me she had arrived at work at 5am that day and was leaving at 1am.
Anyway, were trying to help them out to take some pressure off them and also we figure the longer their time line ends up being, the shorter ours will be and we need all the time we can get.

then when we finish we'll all get laid off! weeeee!

I just reread The Subtle Knife (again, who knows how many times now). I'm sitting there eating my lunch in public trying so hard not to cry when Lee Scoresby died. I did but tried to staunch the tears before people saw me and thought I was weirdo.

i talked to a classmate on the phone and then did it really quickly. probaly wrong but oh well.

miracle fruit is a berry that does something to your taste buds so that sour things taste sweet? (like eating a lemon is like candy, balsamic vinegar is like apple juice, etc). so, we will all eat this crazy berry then taste lots of things. i imagine a crazy stomach ache later that night, but it should be fun!
