The exception being "Clap Your Hands Say Yeah". I've never heard their music and I'm not sure I even want to cause it might spoil my appreciation of their awesome name.

Suburban Kids with Biblical Names and any band with typographical a typographical or orthographic conceit in their name: Meanwhile Back in Communist Russia..., (Smog) (although they've dropped the parentheses, so now they're OK), k.d. lang, et cetera (not, to my knowledge, a band name).

Actually, my personal specific exception was the awesome Nomeansno - a name that, in print, doesn't even LOOK like a full sentence.
