ESG!

alix (alix), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 12:59 (9 years ago) Permalink

Steve+Alix+Starry+Barima so far, looking good.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:12 (9 years ago) Permalink

er er er what is this, an ANTI-VITALIC mob brewing? pah!

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:29 (9 years ago) Permalink

and Barima - are you coming over tonight or not?

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:29 (9 years ago) Permalink

i'm hopefully in for the esg thing. off to glasgow the next day, but that shouldn't preclude my attendance.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:31 (9 years ago) Permalink

Only if you sing Xtina's 'Come On Over, Baby'.

Truth is, it doesn't look like I'll make it. Solly.

x-p with lp

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:32 (9 years ago) Permalink

fyi, esg are one of the best live acts i've ever seen - no offense to vitalic but they render him completely insignificant.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:33 (9 years ago) Permalink

But will they allow me to dance on stage with them?

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:39 (9 years ago) Permalink

I am Seal Clubbing on Friday, I have just been informed. It would be very nice if people came and supported me.

Everyone else mentioned on this thread renders me insignificant, probably even Stevem playing chess, but we do have some slightly unhinged groupies who dance to every single song every single week.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:44 (9 years ago) Permalink

how do you rate their bottoms?

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:45 (9 years ago) Permalink

8 and 6.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:46 (9 years ago) Permalink

Haha oh dear.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:47 (9 years ago) Permalink

encouraging

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:49 (9 years ago) Permalink

Detail your playlist by names and/or genre, Matthew, and I may see if it dovetails into the non-babysitting prospective plans I have on Friday.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:49 (9 years ago) Permalink

And, yeah, I need new girls.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:50 (9 years ago) Permalink

This also means I can go to Optimo next week. Rah!

Playlist = indie - 80s new wave variety, synthpop (also of the 80s variety), occasional noughties haircut indie tune to placate people, electro, early 90s chart dance.

If you come I'll invite my sister.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:53 (9 years ago) Permalink

I don't know anything about ESG!

Matt has already pimped out his unborn son to me and now his sister is going to Barima, that man has no shame at all.

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:54 (9 years ago) Permalink

perhaps i should stay in them, who knows what he'll find me!

i am tempted by seal, as this weekend should be fairly sensible. it is either that or tweeindie at highbury corner with girls in hair slides and balding blokes

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:56 (9 years ago) Permalink

Steve, I think the very existence of Club Seal was something we didn't factor into our pub convo last night.

Matt, OMG, really? I thought she was taken. Or, worse, is she '8'?

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:57 (9 years ago) Permalink

Anna does a very good impersonation of ESG (tho it should be noted that i have never heard the members of ESG speak) - i think you would like them Lex, and Lauren is to be trusted on these matters

Barima is so hot right now

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:57 (9 years ago) Permalink

This ESG?

Someone has to come to Vitalic. I've just bought a ticket!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 13:59 (9 years ago) Permalink

Barms, no, I did factor it in. like when i said 'no Killers, no Franz, and very little obvious poptimism' (ie basically i don't want anyone to actually attend)

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 14:00 (9 years ago) Permalink

perhaps i should stay in them, who knows what he'll find me!

freudian of the day, incidentally

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 14:02 (9 years ago) Permalink

I should start drinking at home - Seal isn't the sort of place where everybody plies me with spirits. I really want to bring my iPod since I saw the setup Colder and not-that-cute-really Output girl had at Cargo last night. There's a couple of Plus-Tech punk songs that would go down SO well.

And using that above example, I see no reason why we can't get indie kids interested, Ste. We can start small, and I'll use me "contacts".

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 14:05 (9 years ago) Permalink

Matt I'm coming to Vitalic! He is with THE HACKER, there may be FADIN' AWAY.

I am sad about the terrible ESG rift, though. Also abt stevem stoppin' his trash-talking, the chess soon-loser.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 14:46 (9 years ago) Permalink

Vitalic virgins should probably get their cherries yoinked

Gravel, we could battle online perhaps

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 14:51 (9 years ago) Permalink

Steve, I may, wear, a t-shirt, to ESG.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 14:56 (9 years ago) Permalink

I shall combine my two favourite things in the world, ESG and CHESS by making myeslf a CHESS BOARD OUTFIT for this momentous ESG/Superpitcher occasion. Do you think Superpitcher will be impressed? He's not gay is he? I'd just die, DIE I tell you. Should I try and be a DJ Groupie? I read about them in "The Guide" magazine once, apparently the worst type of DJ groupie is the type that when you wake up in the morning, instead of going through yr wallet, they're going through your RECORDS with a NOTEPAD.

I mean, this is nothing like me, of course.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:05 (9 years ago) Permalink

Hey Matt, if you play Soulwax's 'NY Excuse', you may not even need to invite your sis (Beastie Boys/Biz Markie - 'Your Sister's Def' is suddenly on repeat in my head).

Starry, haha!

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:15 (9 years ago) Permalink

You'll look like a fucking harlequin. I told you that look is so never in. xpost.

alix (alix), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:17 (9 years ago) Permalink

Steve, I may, wear, a t-shirt, to ESG

leather vest, please

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:18 (9 years ago) Permalink

Oh yeah, so you did. I thought I had thought of an original idea, have I had it before? Jesus I'm so glad I'm giving up the booze. Anyway ESG/Superpitcher/Annie is a lineup immediately downloaded from my BRANE so I'm totally going to be there.

Er, people who are going: perhaps we should invest in... tickets?

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:21 (9 years ago) Permalink

superpitcher is pretty gay

pete b. (pete b.), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:22 (9 years ago) Permalink

Dude wears a scarf while DJing in rammed club = either gheye or Private Pike from Dad's Army.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:24 (9 years ago) Permalink

Stevem get thee to redhotpawn.com (i am, er, tiefscharz. i have yet to be challenged by any dj groupies).

I will wear eighties denim, to vitalic yoinking.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:25 (9 years ago) Permalink

i'm going to wear an animal skin to vitalic in tribute to his bonkers biography on discogs.

pete b. (pete b.), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:27 (9 years ago) Permalink

He is pretty. But is he "an gay"? Or just "gay and bright"?

He wears a scarf whilst DJ-ing in rammed club = SWOON. I love him even more. Do you think he would let me dress him up in preppy clothes even more? (I kind of like Pike too!!)

Greg - is it a time based game? As I am busy right now, but if it's like e-scrabble and you can take yr turn whenever I'm up for a game.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:27 (9 years ago) Permalink

he is quite pretty. his music is very melodramatic. he is definitely gay.

pete b. (pete b.), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:32 (9 years ago) Permalink

Results 1 - 10 of about 309 for superpitcher girlfriend. (0.07 seconds)
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,360 for superpitcher gay. (0.45 seconds)

Starry it's turn whenever! i will take you all on, at once. I will maybe lose.

how late it Vit going until?

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:33 (9 years ago) Permalink

Sarah do you like Derek from Eastenders as well (OMG he is gay too DO YOU SEE?)

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:36 (9 years ago) Permalink

that looks more like a pair of tights round Spitchy's neck than a scarf

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:37 (9 years ago) Permalink

I can't believe it. This is so depressing. I could change my affections to Mayer but he is

a) not as good; and
b) has a lady friend already

CHIZ CHIZ.

Greg, I will challenge you later. I am too sad now.

Woaaar, Derek from Eastenders. Oh, I mean, no, sorry, I don't. I always fancy meng from the past.

It's... safer that way.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:39 (9 years ago) Permalink

Starry fancies the gay one. I fancy the (allegedly) straight one. Something is amiss in the world!

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:43 (9 years ago) Permalink

We'd better watch out before this goes all Will and Grace and my hair starts getting even larger than usual.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:51 (9 years ago) Permalink

leather vest, please

Done.

Starry can go in my place to tonight's Bree Van Der Kamp party.

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:54 (9 years ago) Permalink

Holy crap, Ria's TOTALLY GOT GRACE HAIR

BARMS, Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:55 (9 years ago) Permalink

i 'laughed' at Will & Grace twice this morning

Sven Bastard (blueski), Wednesday, 9 March 2005 15:59 (9 years ago) Permalink

see the problem with this thread is that if you only read it every now and again it makes NO SENSE AT ALL, esp as i have it set to last 50 posts only...

would anyone like to precis the relevant information (i am away this weekend, so no sealclubbing)?
