haven't talked about dolphin browser - other than maybe opera its easily the best browser, and i can't even use the 'hd' version w/ cool extensions (android 2.0-later). my mytouch is already ancient @ a year old. anyone use appbrain? kind of an alternate market/market passthrough, lets you upload apps from desktop. don't know about giving my gmail to them even with oauth assurances.

last thing, mixzing = doooope media player, was using tunewiki primarily but it's too concentrated on social crap and the actual media player is lacking some common sense features, mixzing seems to get it right, simple and quick

Y'all gotta try Subsonic. It's a streaming media server and client that lets me easily access my entire library remotely. It seems to use up about 15% of my battery for a single album which is fair enough.

i've been learning android development from a book called Hello Android, whilst nice and simple it's a little too brief and doesn't go into enough detail. anyone recommend a more advanced book? or good web source?

Just got smartphone. How do I shot Android Python scripting? Google says to go to http://code.google.com/p/android-scripting/ but that page doesn't appear to exist.
