Were the members of bar bands a lot older back then? Or do I just not pay attention to bar band members today?
Some of it is the optical illusion of see these haircuts for the last 30 years on the cohort as they age. The Night Crew looks like it might have a father and son, though!
North Americans were skinny once!

The New Creation were hardly a bar band. They were more of a Shaggs-esque Christian garage outfit that released one record in 1970, recorded, I believe in a day. http://www.companionrecords.com/pages/newcreation.html#
