Ugh! Again with the money issue! Since when is the accumulation of wealth any indication of substance and/or quality? Fuckin' Insane Clown Posse have made a lot of money too.....are they then doing something right?

I think everyone's entitled to their own opinion of music and it just so happens that the majority of people who regularly post on ILE dislike dave matthews band. It's not like any of us have gone on any DMB fan sites calling them "faggets" (by the way, Rex, it's spelled "faggots"--with an "O", not an "E").

It's one thing to go on this board, like Naga_Pampa did, and join in the debate--but it's another to act like some crazed fundamentalist Christian, calling us fags for discussing why we dislike DMB.

Please, Rex, get thee in a suit and on a bike and go on a mission spreading the gospel of DAVE and leave this board alone.

maybe this guy was just trying to phonetically pronounce how typical DMB fans speak--kinda reminds me of an appalachian without proper dental care.....

i like the use of "FAGET"--maybe they pronounce it as if it were a french word....sorta like how people pronounce the discount store TARGET like "tar-jay"

It isn't fair but it happens to everyone (see for example any thread on The Cure).

in any event, an artist's following shouldn't dictate their worth. it just so happens that, in addition to the fact that i find his music annoying, the majority of his fan-base offers loads of comic material for those who find culturally homogenous, surban-america amusing.

It should be, but there's an implicit assumption that anyone who hears DMB will like them which is just false.
