I am getting a tattoo on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 5 PM from this guy http://www.timbiedron.com/index.html (getting something designed in the style of his paintings). He's IN DEMAND. I had to wait since July to even schedule this appointment for April.

I can safely say that if I were dating someone and they had a tattoo of a bloody bunny being stabbed to death by a carrot, I would break up with that person.

Jenny, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 01:22 (sixteen years ago) link

No, wait. This one:

tonight i swam (badly), played basketball (pretty badly), and bought plane tickets to new orleans

Jordan, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 04:33 (sixteen years ago) link

I got the Laura Palmer pic. There was (maybe still is) a Twin Peaks fan-club newsletter called "Wrapped in Plastic."

jaymc, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 06:19 (sixteen years ago) link

Also, I esp. like that owl drawing.

jaymc, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 06:20 (sixteen years ago) link

So what we've learned today:

- Laura Palmer wrapped in plastic = classic
- ANTM-hopeful wrapped in plastic = dud
- Judging Kenan harshly and rashly = dud

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 13:59 (sixteen years ago) link

And owl pictures = classic

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 13:59 (sixteen years ago) link

i saw No Country at the Davis and was fine with the picture but i think i'm probably not as picky about that stuff as other people

I should've just seen it at the Davis, since I wound up missing the first 5 minutes. I don't think I missed much, though.

jaymc, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 14:25 (sixteen years ago) link

I <3 the Davis.

Dan, I'm sorry to hear about the kitty. :-(

For the record, I would never want a pet stuffed. I would just get a new (live) pet. Just like I don't appreciate open casket viewings AT ALL.

Bosses are out again today! WOOP WOOP!

KitCat, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 14:40 (sixteen years ago) link

Aaaannnd they came in after all. :-(

First five minutes = some Tommy Lee Jones voiceover, and Llwellyn hunting. He shoots some deer-like creature, wounds it, follows it, sees a wounded dog, then tracks the dog to the drug deal site (guessing you came in around there?).

Jordan, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 15:26 (sixteen years ago) link

Jesse, what are you getting?

Jordan, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 15:36 (sixteen years ago) link

this, only in watercolor-style?

that little fella is so cute i can't stand it

La Lechera, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 15:43 (sixteen years ago) link

I can't find the image anymore, but it's a silhouette of Don Quixote.

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 15:47 (sixteen years ago) link

A coworker brought in her dog this morning. She is a really sweet poodle named Maude. She sat on my lap and rested her head on her paws for a while.

Yup. I came in as Llewellyn was surveying the carnage. The guy at the box office assured me that all I was missing was a "monologue."

jaymc, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:10 (sixteen years ago) link

I was confused for the first 1/3 of the movie as to why Josh Brolin's character was named Lu-Ellen.

jaymc, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:12 (sixteen years ago) link

No Jordan, I meant to mention that it isn't the Picasso one, though I did consider that too. It's from a Tshirt in some museum gift shop, I think.

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:18 (sixteen years ago) link

Um, I just noticed the busts in that image. Did you do that? Is that Cervantes?

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:19 (sixteen years ago) link

At least one is Shakespeare.

KitCat, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:21 (sixteen years ago) link

La Lechera, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:53 (sixteen years ago) link

I don't understand a single one of the options in that poll. Or the title or the image.

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:56 (sixteen years ago) link

i've never seen fishing with john, though i probably should

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 16:58 (sixteen years ago) link

Is that Cervantes?

It's Picasso, illustrating Don Quixote, kinda. And That book was written by Cervantes.

Jordan, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 17:00 (sixteen years ago) link

I know the drawing is by Picasso, but I was asking if the bust that is not Shakespeare is of Cervantes.

Jesse, Wednesday, 12 December 2007 17:01 (sixteen years ago) link
