So where did a Goth (who probably wasn't called a Goth yet) go for clothes in the twin cities in the pre-Hot Topic eighties? I was more on the army surplus/flannel/things with parts cut off tip which meant Ragstock and Tatters and thrifts.

Like I said upthread, a bunch of us shopped at Oaktree and, as such, looked a lot more like Saved By The Bell castoffs than goths. Also we did a lot of military surplus, too (plus I had a bunch of my brother's Air Force stuff).

And then there was black RIT dye for yr ace in the hole.

Man, I tried and fucked that up more than once.

What did Oaktree sell?

I don't even remember Oaktree but that description is doing wonders for my imagination.

Apparently they placed the first $1 million order with Cross Colours, which from the tone of the article was the beginning of the end for Oaktree.

There's no reason why you can't set up Cats Day as counterprogramming.
