I'll stick with talking about books here, thanks - ILE has the most intelligent, well-read, interesting people I've ever encountered. I don't want to go elsewhere for it. Well, except when I write and read about them on FT, but that's another approach.

I agree w/ Martin. The reason that ILBaseball is around is because there is so much minutia for the more fanatical of us to discuss that if it occurred on ILE, most people would get mad.

Further, I'm afraid that if I got into ILBoox, I'd be posting in dry, academic-bore stylee. (Unless I already do that?)

Actually never mind, I only read comics.

Unless unless comix talk is also fair game?

great move scott: screw ILE. we should delete this board now.

x-post: start a comics board leee!

I'm too busy writing about television and comics (yet another grad school statement of purpose) to start a new board!

you are actually lazy. and reading too much voyager slash fiction.

You know me well.

Leee Iacocca (Leee), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 22:39 (twenty years ago) link

well, i'm gonna post on it and if people come that's cool. we'll see. i know that the film forum didn't stop anyone from posting film threads on ILE. and it's perfectly understandable. I think it could be a cool place for someone to post something about a book or author that they think not a lot of people have heard about or read. Plus, aren't all bookworms longing for a room of their own?

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 22:57 (twenty years ago) link

its an excellent thing scott. As the archive grows someone could do categories and so on. anyway I'll try and post as much as i can.

five years pass...

London ILB posters are having a FAP sometime next week.

See this thread for details, yet to be finalized: London ILB - FAP?
