(I spend a lot of time being mad at myself for not going to nursing school before I had kids. Which is a huge waste of time, but I can't seem to not be annoyed with myself).

ANYWAY I'm sure it will alllllll work out in the end...

Well, I'm mad at myself for never going back to business school, if it's any consolation (not that I've actually needed to but it would be a nice break from working)...

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:10 (fifteen years ago) link

It's sort of consoling. Part of it is me being angry at myself for listening to my mother's "you don't have enough STAMINA to be a nurse" b.s. when I was in college the first time.

I love her, but omg she can be so hurtful. Also, pretty off base (at least so far I kind of find what we've been doing energizing).

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:24 (fifteen years ago) link

Also, I had NO IDEA you ever wanted to go to business school!

I guess I would be more shocked if you suddenly revealed a lifelong desire to be a dentist or something, but still.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:25 (fifteen years ago) link

An M.B.A. would actually make a lot of sense, though.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:26 (fifteen years ago) link

how could anyone possibly consider suggesting that you don't have stamina, sara? my god, it exhausts me just to read about your schedule!

lxy, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:29 (fifteen years ago) link

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:30 (fifteen years ago) link

xp My mother is quite special.

Ned - I'm afraid to click on that! (probably won't stop me for long, though)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:43 (fifteen years ago) link

The MBA thing would really just be to remove barriers for consideration for executive-level positions. HI DERE CAN I HAS VEEP TITLE

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:44 (fifteen years ago) link

nothing is more awesome than being able to write VP as my position on official forms. i do have to subdue my laughter however.

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:45 (fifteen years ago) link

for a while i was toying around with being COO, but i couldn't quite bring myself to go quite that far

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:47 (fifteen years ago) link

Dan, I have been hoping that you'd wind up vice president of the U.S. Still hoping!

John - that IS awesome. I hope you have some fancy stationery to go with that.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:47 (fifteen years ago) link

"why yes, as VP of a corporation, i would like to rent this shitty flop house! why do you ask?"

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:49 (fifteen years ago) link

Ned - I'm afraid to click on that!

Don't be. Plenty safe for work.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:51 (fifteen years ago) link

No worries about work; just freaked by dentists! But Steve Martin as a dentist somehow isn't that scary. I can kind of see Dan singing and dancing like that while filling teeth... hmmmmm.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:57 (fifteen years ago) link

psh, that's what I do on Saturdays

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 22:27 (fifteen years ago) link

also John WHY THE FUCK AREN'T YOU COOING THE SHIT OUT OF THOSE FORMS?

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 22:28 (fifteen years ago) link

Dan, remind me never to come to your dentistry practice/theater experience.

Also, you of all people should remember how modest John is. Don't be silly!

estela, Thursday, 10 July 2008 00:17 (fifteen years ago) link

i am convinced that your little dog is the best little dog ever. this will not count when i has a puppy.

BLACK BEYONCE, Thursday, 10 July 2008 00:19 (fifteen years ago) link

btw how far along are you?

HI DERE, Thursday, 10 July 2008 00:20 (fifteen years ago) link

i am not sure.

how long are dog trimesters in people years?

BLACK BEYONCE, Thursday, 10 July 2008 00:21 (fifteen years ago) link

1 person year = 7 dog years
1 person month = 7 dog months
3/7 person months = 3 dog months

so.... just under 13 days.

HI DERE, Thursday, 10 July 2008 00:24 (fifteen years ago) link

lol spot the massive assumption

HI DERE, Thursday, 10 July 2008 00:25 (fifteen years ago) link

http://www.guideofdogs.com/html/dog_gestation_period.html
