Tim, perhaps some joy will be found in the following words: holding you, loving you, could it be alone, kissing you, tell me I belong, tell me I belong, loving you, tell me I belong, if I trust you, if I trust you. It won't be possible to ignore your absence. Get well soon.

You told me about the best DJ mix of 2007 (Dixon's RA podcast) and consequently one of the greatest singles (or "singles") of all-time. And you WILL tell me about the best DJ mix of 2008.

Get well soon!

Kevin John Bozelka, Sunday, 23 December 2007 22:10 (sixteen years ago) link

Best wishes Tim - I know I hardly post here these days but I still admire and enjoy your writing as much now as I did 6 years ago, and I look forward to seeing you again in Europe sometime.

Hey everyone, Tim's sister just contacted me and they've already heard from the surgeon. Apparently the tumour is benign and although they were still operating at the time she emailed me, the tumour has been encapsulated and hasn't spread at all.

I've been in touch with Tim's sister a bit over the last couple of months and she's promised to keep me updated - because of where the tumour is Tim will have very limited use of his neck etc over the coming weeks, so he's unlikely to be at a computer for a while. Although he's not out of the woods just yet, the initial news is good. Tim's family has been following his lead and being very positive - will let you all know as and when I hear anything further.

Matt DC, Monday, 24 December 2007 12:23 (sixteen years ago) link

The family is popping the champagne right now, so keeping everything crossed.

Matt DC, Monday, 24 December 2007 12:26 (sixteen years ago) link

Huzzah for the good news! Get well soon, Tim. Like lots of folks have already said, I don't follow dance too closely, but I find your posts to be precious guideposts. I look forward to your speedy recovery and return!

Damn, I ignored this thread, my interest only piqued by the 70+ posts.

At least it seems clear that you'll be able to read my good wishes from the recent news when you've recovered. I'll raise a glass for a rapid and trouble free recovery this Christmas.

Hi everyone,

Wanted to let you all know that I am alive, at home and doing surprisingly well. If I'd known brain surgery could be so straightforward I might not have bothered to say anything! Should get confirmation today or tomorrow that everything's been taken care of. Thanks to all of you for your messages of support - it's been very much appreciated.
