i think the autotune is mildly fresh in this context because the beat is also so slurry and whiny -- if you'll allow me, i think the song is very aqueous, it's like an ice luge of vodka as a song so it really works thematically & stylistically on a higher level than a lot of it's pop contemporaries this year -- also "fill another cup up/ feelin on your butt, what"

i voted "love story" last year, "you belong with me" this year, but the more taylor the better. (i recently converted my deeply-skeptical sister by sending her a taylor disc. a few weeks later she wrote that she had gone and watched all her videos and her son was complaining about all the taylor swift in the house and she told him to blame me.)

I'm just not there yet on Taylor, you guys. I don't mind watching her act, whether it be comedy or drama, but I'm just not into her as a musician/singer/critical anomaly.
