I saw their first U.S. show back in October, and it was much better than I expected (I was mainly there to see the opener, this Czech band called Sunshine). Very energetic, very loose. The record, though, is extremely dry. I started off ambivalent about it, then adored it for a while and finally decided that it was a boring knockoff of other knockoffs. I would recommend passing on it, although I see it in used bins all the time for less than $5. Here's

I think I saw them as second opener for the yeah yeah yeahs.
they were crap. their songs were barely distuingishable from each other. the female kept piping up between songs with an annoying, squeaky voice that we couldn't understand.
I am not talking about the yeah yeah yeahs.
