i don't quite have Perry-level dislike of Moore, but she's been a drag in far more movies than she's been good in. also don't understand the sexiest woman alive thing, she's a classy broad and all but i've never really looked at her that way in the slightest. Margulies is v hot though.

Michael Caine's made more terrible movies than anyone we've ever polled, but they're not held against him, right?
Good Moore performances: Vanya on 42 Street, Safe, Boogie Nights, Far From Heaven, I'm Not There. She can a freckled drip, though, sure.

*she can be
ya but how many other actresses can play freckled so convincingly and consistently?

ha – just realized that Moore is "Domino Dancing" in red-haired freckled form to Dan.

a hit-or-miss actress in things i tend to see vs. a reliably ok actress in things i tend to ignore

If Michael Caine's bad movies aren't held against him, it's because he is usually not the main reason why the movie is terrible. "Goldmember" had way more problems in it than Michael Caine, for example.
In fairness, I don't hold "The Hours" against Julianne Moore because everyone else in it except for Toni Collette and Meryl Streep was really the end of the fucking world and should never have been offered a role again.

I would have said Moore, then Margulies, then Moore again, and now Margulies on the basis of "The Good Wife. She's such a good wife!

i think Moore's statuesque features make her seem like she could be tall but i can definitely easily picture her being short
5'4"!

ok, aside from the 2 ER episodes the only Margulies work I appear to have seen is Richard Linklater's The Newton Boys, of which I only remember that it had a studly cast and Eric Bogosian was sitting behind me.
She was good in the Sopranos and Traveller (underrated movie in general). Oh yeah, she was also in the ridiculous but fun TV version of The Mists Of Avalon
Voted Moore - if only for Safe
