Turn that hot beyotch around so we can see the drivetrain, or maybe that's what caek and cozwn already said, I'm retarded.

funnily enough I got offered one of those for free (!!) from a friend at work but it was far too massive for me :(

smash meaning "go on a date with, maybe to a french place in the village", not smash destroy.
― caek, Thursday, 10 December 2009 12:13 (fourteen years ago) link
ride meaning "take it easy with, gliding along country paths in the glassy winter air", not a sex thing.

wilter i flip-flopped several times on what i was gonna do - then saw the new ultegra group on chain reaction cycles site for like $800 local (with benefit of weekend discount) and snagged it, have been mulling over frame choices since. will just sneak under $3k when done!

picked it up from the shop today - if i could find camera i'd have pix. daresay i won't be needing another road bike for a long time, so awesome. light but solid if you know what i mean.
i am not liking the (speedplay) pedals i got, however. they're the light action model and there's just too much play for my liking.

flipping yr bars like that is an urban signifier meaning "destitute" or "I lost my drivers license. again"

in shakedown trim. the rear wheel gap is comical. the bb/massive downtube is seriously stiff, i could not make it rub at all.

― werewolf bar mitzvah of the xx (gbx), Friday, 12 February 2010 00:02 (fourteen years ago) link
and yeah that gap is lol
bikes that are soft will often have the chain rub/grind on the f. derailler if you sprint hard, esp in the big ring. nowadays with big al and carbon frames, this does not happen too much i guess.
i need a new inner ring, like a 42.

I'm in Yurp, the price of the bike didn't kill me, but it is expensive if what you want is a pseudo-Dutch city banger -- this is much more than that. US dealers are all Dutch bike specialist types, which fits a lot of the Retrovelo models but not all of them.
The frame bag is silly money, however. Doesn't necessarily mean I won't break down and buy one, though...
