earthy, robust and full. the chorus sounded like a wine. lol!

that pic reminds me of the set for la fille du regiment, but i could be making a random weird connection.

Hey, that Bachmann person is a great fundraiser. Can she insult me so that people send me money?

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 18 October 2008 22:57 (fifteen years ago) link

Well, if you'd just run for Congress against her, I think all of these problems could be easily solved.

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 19 October 2008 02:45 (fifteen years ago) link

I assure you that they will not have heard that particular campaign slogan yet. It's a winner!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 19 October 2008 04:08 (fifteen years ago) link

Ned, she's not getting a single vote in Blaine - opponent is their ex-mayor.

I have been studying for a test! I will try to improve my pathetic ITR performance. ;_;

Sara R-C, Monday, 20 October 2008 04:23 (fifteen years ago) link

when is test? I wrote a paper for G.'s English class. I was very excited that a got a 93. I purposely didn't write to the best of my abilities but he still got a note from the prof. saying "Hello G., that paper was very well-written." He doesn't think it matched well to his short essay answers on tests. I've been told to make the next one not so good. But that was the worst that I could write and I'll be damned if I get a B!

I am sick and feel like sh*t.

nah, actually it was cool. she's a weird-looking tomboy, and i couldn't comprehend that they had ever dated. she was really nice, though.

YAY, FREEEEEEEE!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 21 October 2008 04:38 (fifteen years ago) link

Also passed my test. I think that, realistically, I'm going to wind up with a B or so in this class, and my 4.0 will be gone, but in the long run that is probably best for my sanity. Kind of tired of beating myself up for missing quiz questions.

John, your evening sounds awesome. I came home and ate a chocolate cupcake, and that was probably all the fun I'll have tonight!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 21 October 2008 04:39 (fifteen years ago) link

And it was the Opera Boston chorus which emerged the stars of the new production. Not only did the chorus members sing beautifully, but they conveyed the true spirit of the music, from the jaunty men’s hunting choruses to the female bridal ensemble. They negotiated the stage business like true professionals, and were a delight to watch and hear.

Awesome

Pipe Wrench Fight (HI DERE), Tuesday, 21 October 2008 13:39 (fifteen years ago) link

Congrats Sara!

I have to start gearing up for G's next paper. Drama, ugh.

I think I'm going to dress up as Sarah Palin for next Friday. We're not going anywhere fun and it would be an easy costume.

You know I'm a G 'cause I got a gmail (Susan), Tuesday, 21 October 2008 13:58 (fifteen years ago) link

guys, nothing beats butthurt like my former boss's response to some blogger's review of one of his concerts (posted on crutis borad liveblog of last days).

highly theoretical, of course. (tehresa), Tuesday, 21 October 2008 15:02 (fifteen years ago) link

Dan was a "delight to watch and hear!" Come on, tell me something I don't already know.

I suspect there will be 10 million Sarah Palin costumes next Friday night. I may or may not do it myself... I probably have to take the kids trick-or-treating, and I am not sure I want to do that in heels.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 21 October 2008 16:17 (fifteen years ago) link

bearskin shoes?

Dead Cat Bounce (Ed), Tuesday, 21 October 2008 16:18 (fifteen years ago) link

dan, you have always been one jaunty son of a bitch.

so, sarah palin is this years borat then.

I still like your idea of getting a pregnant teenager to follow you around. I bet not everyone will have one of those!

It's not too late to hire someone...

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:13 (fifteen years ago) link

So I hear tell this Bachmann person is looking more ridiculous by the minute. I am happy about this.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 02:25 (fifteen years ago) link

She is quite embarrassing. (She agreed to go on Hardball but didn't know what the show was...?! REALLY?!)

The woman who sits next to me in school is in Bachmann's district. She called and got some "no, Bachmann didn't really say that" line of b.s. and then called back after she watched the footage and wound up with an answering machine for this second call (apparently they have been getting a lot of calls). She left a message saying, "how DARE you lie to me about this..." I go to nursing school with some awesome people!
