On the blasphemy front, Nervous Gender had a song with the lyric
"Jesus was a cock sucking Jew from Gallilee.Jesus was just like me.A homosexual nymphomaniac, a homosexual nymphomaniac..."
Can't remember the name of it.

Lots of Lloyd Cole songs. Can't remember the exact ones, but they're all good. Ask Pinefox, it's late and I have to go to bed.― Ally C, Mittwoch, 7. März 2001 02:00 (14 years ago) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

Pinefox never answered. So I'll try:
Just fro the first two albums. By far his best if you ask me.- Jesus Said- Rich ("And even Jesus has a price.")- Brand New Friend ("Walking with Jesus and Jane.")- Lost Week-end ("'Twas stolen from me when Jesus took my hand")
Extra point: In "The Sea and the Sand" he even mentions the Lord.
It's weird whenever I hear someone mentioning Jesus in a song I try to start to listen to the lyrics. I am not religious at all but somehow to me lyrics which contain the character Jesus are more precious to me than those who don't.

Put a straw under babyYour good deed for the dayPut a straw under babyKeep the splinters awayLet the corridors echoAs the dark places growHear superior's footstepsOn the landing belowThere's a place in the orchardWhere no one dare goThe last nun who went thereTurned into a crowTurned into a crow, crowTurned into a crowThe last nun who went thereTurned into a crowThere's a brain in the tableThere's a heart in the chairAnd they all live in JesusIt's a family affair
