Eh. Haven't seen 'em in a while, so maybe they're better now. Got blown off the stage by Les Savvy Favs, were dicks at the Elbow Room, their albums never really excited me (they're kinda like a less manic Need New Body) and I kinda thought they sounded like a million other bands to the extent that I'd rather just listen to those other bands.

i've seen them twice this year, and they have been the best band i have seen besides the hold steady. just very fun.

the title does suck though.

I got the vinyl, it came with a fake mustache.

Wasn't takened with them when I saw them opening for someone last year in Detroit. Seemed a bit forced, but I did apreciate the effort. The songs weren't that memerable.

Yeah I could kind of do without everybody on French Kick really, but Thunderbirds seem to have a kind of emo bend to the new wavey Six Fingers kind of thing that makes them all the shittier.

Yikes, dude! Justamustache has got to be one of my favorite repositiories of simply sweet, sweet, skronky, catchy as hell, post-punky, whatever guitar hooks. Actually, I think on the pure hookiness angle Ryan Allen edges out Seth Jabour (who he obviously cops from, but I mean the whole band's existence takes cues from the Fav. Which is fine!)

Listening to the record would help with appreciation of the live show, which is a sweaty, urgent, fantastic mess,

I saw them a week ago, they are a huge pile of fun albeit one-dimensional to the max

I'm not a street teamer btw, I write for a monthly mag in Northern Ireland. I just wanted to see what ILMers thought of the album and also to put my review up to see if I got any comments on the writing.

I like to see them jump around, and their songs are catchy, but after a while I grow weary of them.

TOTALLY FUN LIVE. They almost stole the 2nd day of Intonation, despite playing first at like 1:00. They would have gotten away with it if not for Les Savy Fav.
