Watching this makes me want to jump out my window at work.

"All Of The Above" - this is dreadful. Special mentions to Stevie Wonder for not remembering at least half the words, and BJA.

I will admit to being incredibly impressed at how Allison Krause made her violin sound like a harmonica until the camera panned over.

This reminds me of a team building retreat my office went on once.

A look into the thought processes of Slash: "hmmmm, maybe for this song I should play a 12 string through a phaser". I couldn't tell if he was playing the right notes, or the wrong notes, or just a bunch of random notes.

steven tyler: "I got shotgun on the marachas"

he is playing those things like someone told him his colon would shoot out of his ass if he stopped, but someone is beheading a puppy in front of him on every shake

between Billie Joe and Steven Tyler....went with Tyler I think but this is so inconsequential that I can't remember even 20 seconds after the fact. The ending is absolutely dreadful, the best caterwaul money could buy in 2005, I guess.

stevie w ruins a perfectly decent duff mckagan backing track

I would love to see footage of the rehearsal -- maybe we'd discover whose idea it was to alter the lyrics to "something's gonna change my world". (Although this could have transpired while they were waiting backstage at showtime, considering all the evidence that no serious rehearsal took place.)

This made me LOL IRL so hard.

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Friday, 16 October 2009 19:21 (fourteen years ago) link

hard to say if Bono's silence at the end is because he's just really feeling it or if he thinks the whole thing is lame. okay not that hard.

I just watched this again, and cant believe it actually happened. Oh, the humanity.

Bill Magill, Friday, 16 October 2009 19:43 (fourteen years ago) link

lol this is hilarious. OTM that it's basically 'bad cover version' IRL

ooo can't wait!

Mark G, Friday, 8 July 2011 23:33 (twelve years ago) link

Had to vote Bono, cos during the second line he just looses his breath and goes "uni-veerse" in some godawful way. I'm sure there is worse stuff on here, but opening up a song like that is a good way to win this.

Telephoneface (Adam Bruneau), Friday, 8 July 2011 23:33 (twelve years ago) link

Yay when Stevie comes on w the harmonica it feels like an incidental piece from "Family Matters" soundtrack.

Someone actually voted Brian Wilson? That's fucking cold.

I mean, at least he has an excuse, being partially deaf and all.
