xp In movie form only, though.

what a movie.

Surmounter, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:27 (fifteen years ago) link

I wasn't expecting the exploding heads to be quite as graphic as they were but it still lead to a multitude of wtf action scenes (including the gnarliest, most hilarious human shield scene I've ever watched).

HI DERE, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:29 (fifteen years ago) link

'remy' is already a nickname. there is no need for another one (or two). And - while i am on the subject - i also do not appreciate my coworkers comically serenading me with the phantom of the opera song, slightly altered to become 're-e-my stand alone in the street light, has the moon lost its re-e-my' etc.

remy bean, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:29 (fifteen years ago) link

omg

Surmounter, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:31 (fifteen years ago) link

That is somewhat hilarious, especially since that song is from CATS

(don't ask why I know these things: I just do)

Sara R-C, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:32 (fifteen years ago) link

ha you're so right!

Surmounter, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:33 (fifteen years ago) link

hey, i got andrew lloyd weber right.

remy bean, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:35 (fifteen years ago) link

I think you should start singing random ALW songs out loud at work. If you do this enough, with enough sincerity, you will frighten your coworkers away.

Sara R-C, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:38 (fifteen years ago) link

Skip ALW and go straight to singing Godspell at them.

HI DERE, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:42 (fifteen years ago) link

And wear the clown makeup. That freaks EVERYONE out.

Sara R-C, Monday, 30 June 2008 17:46 (fifteen years ago) link

Okay, I have still not really started packing. BAD BAD BAD

Sara R-C, Monday, 30 June 2008 21:57 (fifteen years ago) link

Packing for the going of to where? Last minute packing is the most efficient because you pack nothing but the important things which spring themselves readily to mind. I believe this to be true because I want it to be.

Upt0eleven, Monday, 30 June 2008 22:08 (fifteen years ago) link

Also YO!

I am back from the most awesomest festival weekend. My WORD did my standards of hygiene slip. Even I found myself offended by my aroma when I arrived home.

(Tis all better now though. FRESH AND CLEAN)

Upt0eleven, Monday, 30 June 2008 22:11 (fifteen years ago) link

Family road trip to Michigan to visit 1. friends and then 2. family. I do have to resist the impulse to take everything in the house with us.

Sara R-C, Monday, 30 June 2008 22:11 (fifteen years ago) link

Also - glad you're back and that you've, you know, had a shower and everything! ;)

Sara R-C, Monday, 30 June 2008 22:12 (fifteen years ago) link

i bet you smell better than my basement ;_;

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 01:02 (fifteen years ago) link

Is it at least draining now? (hope hope)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 01:15 (fifteen years ago) link

it drains a small amount every so often. i think it is called "evaporation"

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 01:23 (fifteen years ago) link

No luck, huh. Plumber dude couldn't fix it?

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 01:40 (fifteen years ago) link

I really want to be sympathetic - and I am - and yet I can't help but picture you on one of those inflatable rafts, drifting around in a basement, drinking a beer.

I suppose it doesn't work that way.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 01:41 (fifteen years ago) link

I worry that John may have drowned. ;_;

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 04:28 (fifteen years ago) link

Can't sleep - hate it.

Mark C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 04:33 (fifteen years ago) link

That sucks. I should try to get to sleep soon, too... since we have to get up early to drive for hours on end. NOT looking forward to the getting up/getting going...

Anyway, the worst thing to do is to stay in bed and keep trying to fall asleep. Never works and it trains your body to keep staying awake in bed.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 04:37 (fifteen years ago) link

Okay, off to make a pathetic effort at sleeping. Good night all.

(Dan, go home and sleep. Mark, drink some hot chamomile tea and then try sleeping again.)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 04:54 (fifteen years ago) link

had a really good end of year review with my boss, i let him tell me how awes I am, then I told him I'm looking for another job. He was really nice about it.

for real it was a big weight off my shoulders telling him.

wilter, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 06:21 (fifteen years ago) link

i had a long and stressful day but i dyed my hair cut and got a really nice FREE hair cut at a fancy salon. but the rest of the day was shit.

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 08:52 (fifteen years ago) link

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 08:53 (fifteen years ago) link

You got a really nice free hair?

Mark C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 10:07 (fifteen years ago) link

I KILL MYSELF

Mark C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 10:07 (fifteen years ago) link

Anyway, I got back to sleep, after three hours of fretful discomfort. I watched some baseball, and saw my Rockies go from 8-3 up to 15-8 down, sigh. Feel all spacey and weird today.

Mark C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 10:17 (fifteen years ago) link

funny guy. you can see it hair: i love style needs to get their hair did

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 10:38 (fifteen years ago) link

i'm on my way to shelve fucking books now. it is 5:37 am. blackest of foul moods.

remy bean, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 12:37 (fifteen years ago) link

Getting ready to leave - will try to check out your hairstyle on the road, RR! Mark - glad you got at least some sleep... remy - ugh, that is too early for shelving books. SERIOUSLY

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 13:09 (fifteen years ago) link

Have a good trip Sara! My best wishes to the pleasant peninsula!

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 13:13 (fifteen years ago) link

Thanks! It should be fun. (once the car is packed)

I should have internets access, so you're not rid of me... don't get too excited. ;)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 13:26 (fifteen years ago) link

Pastagina is now open!

HI DERE, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 15:47 (fifteen years ago) link

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 15:51 (fifteen years ago) link

LAST DITCH PLUMBING EFFORT COMMENCES - NOW

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 16:35 (fifteen years ago) link

ITR Pls to advise:

My friend's record label is putting on their biggest gig since it was founded tonight. It would involve a 1.5hr train ride there and then a long walk and then the gig and then a longer ride back later.

This is not nice weather to be joining a bunch of sweating commuters and I am still somewhat knackered from festivalness but I said I would go and the band will be great (tis Why?).

Go or no-go?

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 16:41 (fifteen years ago) link

Urgh I don't know what to suggest. How about this? Over the next few years, your desire to go to events in circumstances like this will be crushed under the massive weight of not wanting to go, so you'll end up staying home more and more. So, if you're on the cusp of indecision, go. It's better to regret something you did do than something you didn't, etc.

Mark C, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 16:43 (fifteen years ago) link

GO. always, always suffer through it and go, because regretting going and wasting your time is much better than regretting missing a great show that all of your friends will talk about endlessly.

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 16:46 (fifteen years ago) link

drain guy sounds like he is beating on something in my basement with a hammer.

this can not be a good sign.

BLACK BEYONCE, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 16:46 (fifteen years ago) link

You are right. I will drink heavily on the train and all will be awesomeness.

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 16:54 (fifteen years ago) link

Have you seen your cat lately...?

HI DERE, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 16:56 (fifteen years ago) link

Always Go To The Rock Show.

This is the only good piece of advice I received from a woman in high school who was otherwise a total jerk.

en i see kay, Tuesday, 1 July 2008 17:01 (fifteen years ago) link

Good advice, but may not apply to plays. (And NO, John, this has nothing whatsoever to do with you. I just tried to go to a friend's play the other day and it was an unmitigated disaster/grave error.)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 01:00 (fifteen years ago) link

I went to the show and it was GR8. Bunked the train there and back this morning so cost me naaaaaafing.

I also successfully cockblocked my friend who was keen to sleep with the band's german tour manager. I think his girlfriend's lovely so consider this to be a good and not a heinous deed.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 08:26 (fifteen years ago) link

Yay, glad you went and had fun. It sounds like your presence was required there, too!
