It's Only Right and Natural is classic.

Gay Dad is a bit of a dud though.

(cannot wait to see reaction to this)

CAss (CAss), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:47 (nineteen years ago) link

You see, that parenthetical afterthought totally ruined your chances of being strung up.

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:48 (nineteen years ago) link

If I could name a movie after this, it would be Proof of Troll

uh (eetface), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:48 (nineteen years ago) link

why, cos you're on it?

g--ff (gcannon), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:49 (nineteen years ago) link

Yea, I'm on Proof of Troll.

that doesn't even make any sense.

uh (eetface), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:50 (nineteen years ago) link

Sylvester = 10/10 of course.

djdee2005, Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:50 (nineteen years ago) link

can we stick to the subject of GAY MUSIC please

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:51 (nineteen years ago) link

like Pansy Division?

uh (eetface), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:52 (nineteen years ago) link

wow im actually kinda disapointed. i was wating for everyone to get really touchy and tell me 'we dont like you...your a troll' which some losers here have said a few times to me.
sorry cutty im taking the subject away from your gay music!! carry on its amusing

CAss (CAss), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:52 (nineteen years ago) link

well enoch i assumed "this" = "this thread." if your pronoun had another intended referent, then my comment is indeed non sequitur, and i look quite the fool!

g--ff (gcannon), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:53 (nineteen years ago) link

I was referring to CAss's previous posts about gays burning in hell.

uh (eetface), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:54 (nineteen years ago) link

of course, if CAss isn't trolling, then she's being extremely dumb, so it's time to pick the lesser of two evils, CAss, to save face. Then I'll go on and pretend like I don't know you're a troll and purposefully fall for everything.

uh (eetface), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 20:57 (nineteen years ago) link

i am trolling. and i dont care what i say anymore. let gays burn in hell.

CAss (CAss), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 21:00 (nineteen years ago) link

ive said it twice now! give me a better reaction

CAss (CAss), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 21:00 (nineteen years ago) link

CAss (CAss), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 21:05 (nineteen years ago) link

Performed in.

(I'll let you all on ILM decide whether I'm joking or not, except there's somebody here who will spill the beans anyway.)

CAss (CAss), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 21:13 (nineteen years ago) link

I'm surprised that no one has referenced the Scissor Sisters.

Atnevon (Atnevon), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 21:34 (nineteen years ago) link

Scissor Sisters are both gay and straight, no?

Patrick Cowley, when he was on, was the best producer electronic dance music has ever seen.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 21:44 (nineteen years ago) link

Scissor Sisters are both gay and straight, no?

Well the drummer is heterosexual, if you count those people. And the girl isn't a lesbian, but that's because she functions as a fag hag.

Speaking of disco, is Giorgio Morodor gay?

Atnevon (Atnevon), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 22:13 (nineteen years ago) link

The girl isn't a lesbian because she dates a friend of mine last I checked.

Don't know about Moroder. I always assumed he was straight but the music, and yes the mustache, may say otherwise.

The most infamous "non-gay" is Bobby O, who is actually a raging homophobe, not bad for the hi-nrg genius who wrote "Calling All Boys" and all of Divine's hits, not to mention producing the first Pet Shop Boys sessions.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 22:33 (nineteen years ago) link

re Moroder you can't get straighter than Chicory Tip!

gay music is the best thing ever, precisely because of the gayness. as a heterobarelysexual man i feel comfortable in asserting this opinion.

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 02:26 (nineteen years ago) link

i'm a sucker for disco records so absolutely agree with steve... this is one genre in whchi it is impossible to be gay enough!

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 12:09 (nineteen years ago) link

But what of The Gay?

briania, Wednesday, 5 May 2004 16:32 (nineteen years ago) link

eight months pass...
Based on the music I'd say all robots from the future are not only homosexual, but also black.

Hip hop's biggest problem is its lack of gay.

TOMBOT, Friday, 7 January 2005 18:14 (nineteen years ago) link

What about Caushun? (the gay rapper)

Matt Boch (Matt Boch), Friday, 7 January 2005 18:35 (nineteen years ago) link

Hip hop's biggest problem is its lack of gay.

I think you're correct in spirit, but that one formerly-hyped gay rapper didn't do much for me.

Atnevon (Atnevon), Friday, 7 January 2005 22:42 (nineteen years ago) link

"the" gay rapper

LSTD (answer) (sexyDancer), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:00 (nineteen years ago) link

"Scissor Sisters are both gay and straight, no?"

This is bisexual. *rolls eyes* Sorry couldn't resist.

stevie nixed (stevie nixed), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:03 (nineteen years ago) link

OT, but when I heard 'Comfortably Numb', I thought to myself, 'Hmmm, the Scissor Sisters have been blunted by rock.'

thee music mole, Friday, 7 January 2005 23:08 (nineteen years ago) link

do baby and lil wayne really kiss each other on the lips?

cutty (mcutt), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:12 (nineteen years ago) link

Some gay hip hop off the top of my head:

Deadlee is a gay rapper who wants you to "suck his gun".

Da Hawnay Troof is a bi rapper who brags about "being the number one cocksucker" (which I rather doubt)

I still haven't heard Deep Dick Collective, dunno if they are good or not.

There's an MC called Ralowe who's also supposed to be rad.

Not gay but honorarily queer moments in hip hop abound:

most flagrantly, Le Shaun's "Wide Open" a female hip hop MCs ode to, er, "pegging" young boys

Biggie's "she was so hott I'd suck her daddy's dick" line surely counts too.

Drew Daniel (Drew Daniel), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:19 (nineteen years ago) link

That's the kind of line that makes me sad not to have children.

nabisco (nabisco), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:20 (nineteen years ago) link

You forgot LL Co... oh, wait.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:20 (nineteen years ago) link

"Ladies love cool James because they can go shoe-shopping with him"

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:21 (nineteen years ago) link

I didn't intend to imply that any one rapper has a monopoly on queerdom in hip-hop. Rather, I meant to point out that, in America at any rate, only one openly gay has been promoted in mainstream media. And he didn't sell very well.

Atnevon (Atnevon), Friday, 7 January 2005 23:29 (nineteen years ago) link

There's also a Queen Pen song about picking up girls
