I've never tried to give my cats tea, but they were very curious about my hot tottie (sp?) last night. They do like drugs alot though (ie: catnip).

My cats are very perturbed by lapsang soochong, which is the only tea I drink. They always come over to sniff at the mug, like they do when I have coffee, and then give me this look like "Why God, why?" (I told them I'm God), and run off.

I thought about reviving this yesterday when I noticed the kitten upside down and drooling under a chair, and then saw that she had somehow gotten the box of valerian tea out of the cabinet and torn into it. I used to live with two cats who would MANGLE the paper wrappers from peppermint tea bags. They would basically roll on them and push their shoulders into them to try to get as much of the scent on them as possible, presumably. Craziness.

Every morning I get my mug of coffee, sit down on the couch, and put my mug on the floor, the easiest place to access it from the couch. And every morning, my cat comes over, smells the coffee, then tries to bury it (in our hardwood floors). Every morning.
