okafor is more likely than most of these but i like middleton i guess

i could hear the argument for brown but he is prob more in the stanley johnson/justise winslow mold and idk that feels a bit redundant to me for the celtics. i wonder if he would have enough room to grow when you have smart, bradley, crowder, turner etc all more or less occupying that same sort of role.

there's no one on the celts who can do what bender could do tho, he's a very unique talent even if he prob wouldn't help them much this year.

i guess i could see danny picking kris dunn if he feels they just really need offense for this coming season but that feels like a waste to me given all they did to get this pick

i highly doubt they draft dunn. would be fine with bender if the pick can't be traded by thursday evening, brown is ok but seems like a considerable project and doesn't at present offer what bender might (namely shooting)

if they trade it, middleton would be fine. my dream is still the 3 pick + avery bradley + maybe james young or terry rozier + some 2nds to the bulls for butler (it allows the bulls to draft a point guard at 3, which they desperately need), but that seems more and more unlikely at this point.

ya unless butler is srsly forcing their hand bulls wld be nuts to move him

i mean it seems reasonable because the bulls prob need to do a top-down rebuild - being in the middle has gotten them nowhere for 5 years - but i think they see butler as the cornerstone around which to rebuild (not sure if that's the case, but pretty positive it's what they believe)

i would consider doing that at if i was the bulls the ultimate problem in talking about this pick is that there's nobody good to pick!!!!!

wld say the only thing ppl are good at predicting is if everyone agrees theres a cant miss player at the top of the draft then thats generally true, tho the whole league did favor oden over durant so even thats falible

health/injury busts are different from straight up not actually being good at basketball busts

anyone think oden wldve been better than kd even if he stayed healthy

it's true that most drafts end up with at least a handful of very good (and above) players but like compare 2013 to 2015 and i think people's reads on those drafts will end up being correct

i think drafting bender is correct at this point but if they don't like him then i'd rather they get okafor than draft someone else

brown has major upside potential imo

we still have the nets pick the next 2 years though so i'm always down with just drafting a high upside guy (bender) and then having a strong team in 5 years rather than now

I think his rookie season went fine considering his role. He had a couple breakout games when they started him. Big thing with him is turnovers. Stan Johnson and Winslow didn't exactly set the world on fire.

We're well stocked on 6-5 to 6-8 somewhat above average swing men and also combo/semi point guards, there are glaring spots available for a rim protector/pnr roller, true stretch 4, and generic superstar, turning a mediocre pick into one of those would be a score
