so, I just joined another custom league with a few friends of mine. But now I realized you can only be in one custom league at a time. Can anyone check and see if i still show up in the ILX league, even though I have another custom league entered right now in the Options? (I'm ZS25)

if you finished the latest one, then no, you're not showing up

is it poss to leap the boulder from the ledge, just after the springy twig and before the mound of rocks, to land on the right of the spring? (near the end)

think I have a good line but just cant execute it

that sounds impossible. might make a landing on the boulder at best?

feel there would be too much airtime even if you did make it.

how are we doing this level then

I've been doing two small hops, delayed jump off the first spring, miss the second short and then jump over it, jump off the crest of the downhill, run and jump miss the twig and land on the plateau just before the mound of rocks... don't have a line from there

should I be trying to hit that second spring?

game really needs ~replays~

that's my basic strategy. then run over mound, jump onto and off of boulder, then just run.

what do i know though, i'm fifth (or worse)

i've had hundreds of horrible runs, and one miracle accident run that got me to 18.04. i have no idea how it happened, but i managed to hit the sweet spot on just about every spring (including the second one)

sond's time is unholy

I don't like what this game is doing to us all.

damming I know sond's time is beatable. gotma really slow first section on my ghost

they should release trials ON IPAD

that would destroy my life (if i bought an ipad)

local maxima are a big problem in this game.

I feel like I should be more into this game than I am, but once I have what I consider a respectable score I stop playing. I think the fact that you only have one day to get your score actually prevents me from obsessing too much over it.

Kind of feel like that, except "what I consider a respectable score" is starting to mean "as long as I'm inside the ilx top ten". Really am getting almost zero enjoyment from it though. When I finally manage a half decent run I never think "woah, nailed it", it's always just "well that was a slippery lucky mess".

cozen, were you hitting that second spring? because that sounds like madness to me

another downside is if you get busy, you miss out on all the runs and there's no way to get back in the leaderboards!

I'm in the global top 20! Appreciate it's mainly down to it being less than 4 hours in, but this is still easily my best level yet.

I can't touch the #1 so I am proud to hold #2 for the next few minutes anyway

Also I can't imagine Trials begin good on the ipad, I need my analog stick for that!

It is possible. But the problem is that I haven't even matched my high score with the up and over strategy.

Oh wait maybe it helps a bit.

I've not bothered with trying for that up and over more than a couple of times. Beginning to wonder if it's possible to skip the swing ledge bit entirely though.

i've been up there too but i can't see how it helps

maybe if you just hit every blob and bounce your way through it

I cut about a second off my time going over, but I think part of it was that I nailed the second half for once. I don't think you need it.
