WHY WON'T HE STOP BARKING?!

He did stop and now it's started again and then I think maybe I gave him too much xanax cause he puked literally 20 times last night of course maybe it wasn't the xanax but something he ate and I only got 4.5 hours of sleep because he was woofing until 2 am and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Maybe he's just having an off week?

At one in the morning I was holding him with one arm cause it was the only thing that would quiet him and researching "how to stop dog barking in apartment" online with the other. This is like having a goddamn newborn though I doubt one of the popular answers on how to get a baby to stop crying is to spray it in the face with a water bottle.

He's probably thinking "I love barking, and those funny pill things make me not want to bark, so *bleeeeeech*"

I feel like I'm going to collapse or just lose it. I've had < 5 hrs of sleep each night since Sat.

Is there a doggy daycare he could get dropped off at for a day or two?

He gets taken out 2x a week with other dogs and he runs around for a couple hours. I upped it to three this week to try to tire him out.

Or do you mean could I board him somewhere for a couple days so I can sleep?

I know it sounds like I'm bitching a lot but I'm still trying to get this anxiety/panic thing I've been dealing with under control and the stress of constant barking and worrying about the neighbors along with the lack of sleep really isn't helping that at all.

A little of column A, a little of column B. I have some friends who drop their dog off while they're at work a couple days a week, but if he was able to stay overnight just so you can catch up on sleep it might help.

I bought a spray bottle today at lunch. B's going down.

I'm having visions of sitting there on the floor tonight just blasting him and watching him startle and look confused. I wanted to buy a water gun to make this more fun but the hardware store only had super soakers and that seemed a little cruel.

He tried to woof a little around 7:00 p.m. and so I shot him in the butt with the spray bottle and he looked very confused and annoyed. After doing this about three times he stopped barking completely and SLEPT THE REST OF THE NIGHT.

I am trying. I was so happy this morning I kept telling him what a good boy and an angel is was and kissed him and gave him about a zillion treats. Here's hoping that wasn't a one off thing and that tonight will be similarly peaceful.

B is doing quite well. I only wish I could get him to sit still with any kind of food anywhere near him never mind in his mouth/on his head to take a picture like that. That's hilarious. He is very cuddly lately and sleeps on my pillow right next to my head every night which is adorable until he starts to snore.

No we certainly do not, Estela. :( He is so sad and confused and tired but he can't figure out how to lie down with this damn thing on. I feel so bad for the little dude.

Balls - a doggy in his play group must have scratched him in the eye and then he ulcerated it by rubbing at it. He is supposed to wear this thing for 14 days!
