It's David Linton. Prior to that he was in a band with his college buddy Lee Ranaldo called the Fucts. I used to email Lee about it all the time, he said he'd dig up and digitize some old tapes for me but he never got around to it.

austere starkness, lack of preciousness, if you dig chromatics or portishead I'd be perplexed if the xx didn't do it for you, plus they're an actual band w/ electronic drums played by hand making their ambient effects hardwon + wellearned, last 3 songs on album nearly float away from their own zoned zonkedness
I guess the album will eventually get played 94/7 in starbuckborders and grey's anatomy episodes but right now I'm into it yes
