when i was a freshman matisse posters were all the rage, particularly jazz, dance and peace dove. we had "pulp fiction" in our room and our neighbors had "college" this was 95 mind you so we were a little ahead of the curve. my sister had that gandalf poster in her bedroom when we were in high school (its still there, i think).

http://www.erniebarnes.com/images/A-LIFE-RESTORED-by-Ernie-Barnes-for-Kanye-West-72.jpg
s one decodes this large 9 ft. x 10 ft. canvas that connects the spiritual depths of Kanye West and Ernie Barnes, what you will discover is a wisely constructed view of the celestial hierarchy that will unfold gently on your mind. We are irresistibly drawn into the drama by the radiant figure of a muscular and robust angel bursting through the boundaries between the finite and the infinite.

The angel dominates the composition as the viewer is lifted into the heavens and into the realm of cherubs and saints gathered in joy around the descending angel -- God’s messenger. Although the canvas is square in shape, the artist has created a spiral effect which gives the viewer access to a scene no matter where one is positioned. Each scene in the celestial hierarchy is bathed in an atmosphere of soft transition separated by shafts of light. The top left of the painting portrays the gifts, or talents, God assigns us to develop. Cherubs are shown packaging them for placement during births. In the top right is the record department, where names are kept and discoveries are made for those who stay or have to go back into the realm of the living.

The entire composition pivots around the gleaming brownish flesh tones of Kanye West receiving his new life’s aura from a descending angel.

lord of the rings - actually a pretty cool poster as far as monsters of commercialism are concerned
pink floyd - gets a pass since the band was so sick
jim morrison - so ubiquitous I can't be offended
simpsons - cartoon always bored me, and the sopranos thing just seals the deal
hang in there - cute, i like the type face
potential - those fries look like they're still frozn
kramer - I can never determine what this poster says about people who hang it
beer - lol why did they phrase it "I THINK NOT" instead of "no" or "negative!" or nothing at all?
bluto - I actually love this movie for all time
pulp fiction - one viewing at 15 was enough
rocky - stupid movie

1997 star wars poster from pizza hut

my sister made me a bitchin' unicorn poster which now hangs above my bed in place of the x-files poster that my cat gradually destroyed over the years by using it as a scratching post.

World War I, also known as the First World War, the Great War and the War To End All Wars, was a global military conflict which took place primarily in Europe from 1914 to 1918.[2] Over 40 million casualties resulted, including approximately 20 million military and civilian deaths.[3]
