finally upgraded to live 6 and went ahead and bought sampler because I'M GETTIN PER DIEM ALL NEXT WEEK PLUS AT LEAST 22 HOURS OF OVERTIME JUST FOR RIDING PLANES

also just hauled (355 x 18) + (750 x 4) = 9.39 liters of booze three blocks all by myself in the hot sun and wasn't even bothered

Made guacamole from scratch for first time, but I think it needs more heat and something...else?

Made 16C of sweet tea w/ spearmint-infused simple syrup.

Making something else later, dunno what yet.

things for guacamole:
lemon juice
olive oil - or mayonnaise if you like mayonnaise
cilantro (which you hate so i guess no) or ground coriander
SALTTTT
cayenne/sriracha/chipotle hotsauce
some people put tomatoes in it but i think salsa is for tomatoes and should be separate

my v minor bragging of today is that my 'work' involves reading a pretty entertaining and easy-to-read book about food delicacies! and world travel!

Hm I skipped olive oil, added about 2/3 of a jalepeno but it's not as hot as I thought it wd be. Plus chopped scallion instead of onion. Not enough parsley in garden to deal with, maybe a tiny bit of cilantro was called for just for complexity...? I did add tomato, it's good color.

guacamole needs good salt & also a bit of garlic or sweet onion. i like to really overload the lemon or lime or add a bit of zest bc the whole fixture loses most of its brightness over the time it's gotta sit in the 'fridge to blend properly. and there's really nothing worse than dead-dull guac.

also i usually put in onions and garlic and don't use oil; all you reallly need is lemon, much salt, pepper

sitting on a deck two blocks from the beach with a couple of dogs, a few beers, and good tunes while the only person i've ever loved is inside fixing me dinner and singing along.

Yeah, okay, that's exactly what I did! Will add a bit more seasoning and finish it off for dinner.

yes seasoning time is key! if it goes brownish a little lemon or lime may brighten it up (as rrrobyn said).

i like tomatoes in my guac, not too many though. also garlic.
