In my opinion, doing windows is what makes or breaks a manservant.

What would Sara's reality show about breaking manservants be called?

-- Ned Raggett, Monday, August 18, 2008 11:39 AM (53 minutes ago)

Ned, that is an excellent question, and as soon as you have the answer, I plan to pitch it to the major networks.

Please to assist, ITR.

Sorry, I thought we'd already decided on a name. Anyway, here goes.

Please Your Lady Boss

I actually heard this in a bizarre dream I had about a brothel where powerful City of London businessmen (pinstripe suits and bowler hats) would go and pay to be humiliated by women.

Guys, I have just discovered the greatest website in the world:

http://www.butlersinthebuff.co.uk/

A representative offering:

Or if that doesn't work.

snoball, Monday, 18 August 2008 20:04 (fifteen years ago) link

Believe me, snoball, had I known about this sooner, it would have been called to the collective's attention a long time back.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 18 August 2008 20:04 (fifteen years ago) link

Since we started back in 2001, a number of other company’s have sprung up around the country after having seen how successful our operation was. They tend to be individuals or small groups of lads operating on a part time basis from their home, in and around their home town, doing the odd job here and there. They will of course be cheaper on most occasions not having the overheads we incur maintaining offices and staff to support our nationwide operation, but as with everything in life “you get what you pay for.”

Ned Raggett, Monday, 18 August 2008 20:07 (fifteen years ago) link

Further suggestions about dealing with false buff butlers:

Do they seem professional?

Are they easy to get hold of?

Are they a national company?

Do they take payment up front?

Can you pay over the phone with a credit or debit card?

Do they have Insurance?!!!

If it's a question of insurance, that might mean their butlers break, and thus we return to the original thread topic, a moment of beautiful synchronicity.

Further observations from the site:

Whether you are looking for naked butlers to greet your guests or a discreet cocktail waiter to gently enhance the ambience of your event, a group of hunky waiters to raise the roof, or a topless butler to spice up your birthday, we have the perfect solution for any occasion.

....

Butlers in the Buff are excited to be the new official sponsors of Glasgow University’s Cheerleading team, the Pussycats! The Pussycats are one of the top cheerleading teams in the UK and have just been voted Glasgow University’s ‘Team of the Year’.

Butlers in the Buff were approached by the girls to get involved with them after they saw a feature about our recruiting mission on GMTV Scotland. So with their contacts, energy and enthusiasm, Butlers in the Buff felt that it would be a brilliant opportunity to work with the girls and for them to help us in the hard task of recruiting suitable butlers!

Ned Raggett, Monday, 18 August 2008 20:13 (fifteen years ago) link

(xpost) I'm more concerned about "Do they take payment up front?", which I'm sure is a euphemism for something.

We do not approve.

I think Sara should also have an advice/chat show for broken manservants. An investigative report/rollow-up.
