Especially if it was Dan trying to tame the SPAMMONSTER in a cage, waving a chair around like lion tamers (allegedly) do. I believe that would be very, very popular.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 03:45 (fifteen years ago) link

sounds like an antm photo shoot.

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 03:46 (fifteen years ago) link

Damn I wish I had artistic talent so that I could illustrate the image that is in my brain now.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 03:47 (fifteen years ago) link

lololololololololololololol

now is a good time to reveal that I was leading to a "SPAMMONSTER = spam javelin" joke

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 03:54 (fifteen years ago) link

I <3 you all. And it's probably not only because I'm super tired and I've had a tiny amount of caffeine, to which I am waaaaay oversensitive.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 03:54 (fifteen years ago) link

<3

argh i just totally bombed word twist match.

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:04 (fifteen years ago) link

a: do not drink caffeine. it will make you anxious, and like i was through the winter.

remy bean, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:10 (fifteen years ago) link

Word Twist can be crazy tricky. And I had a decaf iced cafe mocha - the amount of caffeine had to be pretty minimal! If I had caffeine one of you would wake up with me standing at your front door because I would probably just WALK there.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:17 (fifteen years ago) link

man i want coffee now. thanks a lot!

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:19 (fifteen years ago) link

hmm

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:19 (fifteen years ago) link

This is all John's fault again, because he started with the coffee thing yesterday.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:20 (fifteen years ago) link

love me some coffeee mannnnn

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:21 (fifteen years ago) link

where did u all go :(

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:49 (fifteen years ago) link

Hi tehresa! I'm just writing a note to a friend from grade school... gossiping about another friend from grade school. (HSTNGS is ultimately so, so small).

But I'm still sitting here! Still semi-wired on a mL of caffeine.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:55 (fifteen years ago) link

i should be sleeping bc i am going to newjob tomorrow (but not til 12 but i have to leave by 1030-45ish to ensure i get there in time and i am only going for a few hours to hang out w/ dude's leaving asst) but i am not ready for the sleeping yet...

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:57 (fifteen years ago) link

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:57 (fifteen years ago) link

(that was an xp, actually)

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:57 (fifteen years ago) link

you people on the upper west side!

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:58 (fifteen years ago) link

I have to get up at 7 to wake the kids up in order to get J to her morning activity, but I hate going to bed before 1 a.m. I am never ready to sleep, basically...

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:58 (fifteen years ago) link

hey i don't live there i just have to go there! and it's like, past uws...

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 04:59 (fifteen years ago) link

i have been sleeping too late. past few days i made myself get up at 10 lol. that's gonna have to change...

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:01 (fifteen years ago) link

I know... I want to sleep past that if I can. Sigh. This is why I want to work second or third shifts... it's when I have actual energy!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:06 (fifteen years ago) link

src what are your kids' ages again? though i am probably slightly older than you (SHS '89 yo) i am generally at a loss with the children. and as an only child i am . . . actually okay with kids that aren't my responsibility. i'm much better with the ones that want to play catch, though.

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:07 (fifteen years ago) link

i used to do 3:30-12 and it got really weird after a while...

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:09 (fifteen years ago) link

also once i would do 4 10s - from like 6-4:30am and i nearly lost my mind after a few weeks and had to switch back to days.

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:10 (fifteen years ago) link

my (step)dad just turned 72 yesterday. he looks about as good as i hope to look at 52. but he's replacing me by playing catch with the seven-year-old next door

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:12 (fifteen years ago) link

mookieproof, please report to my house to play with my kids for several hours immediately!

Alex is 10 years old (I CANNOT accept that, btw); Julia will turn 6 in August. Julia is some crazy combination of my extroversion/weird personality and my sister and her fixation with fashion. Also, I graduated in 1990 from high school, so you must be just one year older than me?

tehresa, I don't think there is any perfect shift for me, but probably 3 pm to 11 pm would be best. Getting up at 4:30 am to be at the hospital at 7 a.m. is awful. (hmmmm, maybe I should work closer to home when I get an actual job, huh.)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:13 (fifteen years ago) link

hey on continuing movie reports, Michael Clayton was good.

BLACK BEYONCE, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:15 (fifteen years ago) link

hahaha yeah i said that (about the closer to home thing) after a year of insane commuting and then went and got another job with an insane commute, just in the opposite direction of the last one.

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:15 (fifteen years ago) link

yes, it was... but i felt like i'd seen it before?
xpost

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:15 (fifteen years ago) link

ending credits stunt - pretty genius

BLACK BEYONCE, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:16 (fifteen years ago) link

haha

so how do you guys feel about hypnosis cds?

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:16 (fifteen years ago) link

ha ha ha, during my senior year of high school, my parents gave my brother a self-hypnosis tape to help him do better in school. I used to listen to it to see if it would help me. Generally it made me fall asleep. (It was just this reeeeeaaaaaalllly soothing music, no words, but allegedly had SUBLIMINAL messages in it).

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:18 (fifteen years ago) link

btw, I usually fell asleep on my bedroom floor when I was listening to it.

Are you thinking of something similar, tehresa, or is it something totally else?

John - stop being ahead of me in movie watching all the time. ;_;

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:19 (fifteen years ago) link

haha my niece emily (daughter of fabled sister-in-law from other unpleasant threads) is 4.5 and despite getting every single (pink) toy she could ever want is curiously interested in me -- i have danced with her and played dolls with her and stuff. i don't think it's going to be enough to overcome the pink toys and her fucking psycho dad, though ;_;

send all your children to me (and my dad!) for baseball training, though!

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:20 (fifteen years ago) link

my roommate listened to this cd about eating habits and apparently it worked because i just noticed the other day that he looks a lot thinner!

so he burned me a copy but now my computer is having issues reading it :( i was wondering if i should fall alseep to it...

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:20 (fifteen years ago) link

hmm....?

mookieproof, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:21 (fifteen years ago) link

aww, mookie that's sweet of you! i'm sure she will appreciate it a lot when she gets older.

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:22 (fifteen years ago) link

cd loaded finally. i think comp was confused bc it was mp3 and avis on it

tehresa, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:23 (fifteen years ago) link

I wish I could remember what I called that tape; I know it was something snarky. I kept listening to it, though!

omg the PINK thing. About two seconds after Julia was born we started receiving pink stuff. It is crazy! I did entire pink loads of laundry after that. I have no idea what it is with people. Even A. started buying pink stuff. BUT J will also play baseball, soccer... both my kids LIKE gym class even. (that is a huge mystery to me and makes me suspect they are aliens or something). Anyway, yes - play baseball with them. I will enjoy a nap!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 26 June 2008 05:24 (fifteen years ago) link

my mom crocheted us all blankets before we were born. older sister's was pink, mine was blue (hah! sorry mom), and by my little sister, she just went with yellow.
