Could I request that this post. It is largely a personal attack on me and I have never talked about my relationships online and I'm a little agrieved that this has happened.

Ed, I called her on that at the time, and was told half a dozen posts down from that that "a situation has developed that I am uncomfortable with, that's all. The relevant parties know about it, which is why I can discuss it here comfortably" before being told to "get tae fuck". Oh, and also that it wasn't an attack on anyone. Seems someone's got the wrong end of the stick somewhere (and I'm pretty sure it's not you).

I'm guessing on past form that the other party in this won't be too pleased when she returns either.

Out of respect for others involved I have neve talked about relationship stuff online. Suzy's post is borderline I know, but I think it crosses over, it pisses me off mainly because of stuff that that is entirely between me and suzy which I'm not going to bring up on a public board. I'm happy with whatever a mod decides.

well, quite.

I'd still prefer if it was deleted though.

Okay I've deleted it, plus a couple of subsequent posts as well. It's always been the policy that if personal information about a user has been posted without their consent, that poster has the right to have it deleted. This is borderline because you're not explicitly named but enough people will make the connection so fine.

Thank-you

From the FAQ:

Can threads be deleted? What is locking a thread?
Threads can be deleted but we don't like to do it often and will not delete a thread apart from in exceptional circumstances. These include:
- Libellous threads. If we think a thread might be libellous it might be deleted. This hasn't happened very often.

- Personal threads. If a thread is started discussing a registered user or their actions, that user has the right to ask for it to be deleted or locked. The thread does not have to be an attack on the user. This does not apply to threads users start themselves and later regret.

Best be deletin this thread too I guess!

Mark G, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 11:32 (nineteen years ago)

Aye, that's a good idea, sorry for bringing it over here but I didn't want to respond over there since it was getting pretty petty.

Now my subsequent contributions to that thread read like a bunch of non-sequitors. (not to mention Nath calling for a catfight between two people yet to show up on the thread!). Ach, I look like an idiot enough over the board anyway, it was the right thing to do.

Well I was busy and ensuring thread continuity wasn't really my top priority.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 30 May 2007 13:00 (nineteen years ago)

Fair enough, it wasn't a complaint, just an observation.
