Saw a preseason Fantasy guide on the magazine rack today that had Russell Martin on the cover. They may want to rethink their marketing strategy.

I know these publications have multiple covers aimed at specific markets, but still--Russell Martin? There's got to be at least a half-dozen guys you'd want on there ahead of a 34-year-old catcher with a .398 slugging average and iffy health. Even if you do give him some citizenship points.

"Guys" meaning "Jays": Donaldson, Sanchez, Tulowitzki, Estrada, Happ, Osuna, Travis, Pillar, Stroman maybe, even Bautista.

regardless of Martin's season last year, he's still a face most people will recognize. you throw Estrada or Happ (or even Sanchez, despite how much he's earned it), a lot of people are going to wonder who the fuck they're looking at!
