Don Cheadle: Ocean's Eleven

Why doesn't Don Cheadle have a credit in Ocean's Eleven? (The other ten do, not to mention all of the other major actors in the film.) Was it over a dispute? I read that he was unhappy about not being featured in the promotion for the film alongside Brad/George/Matt/Julia et al.

That's the version which that I think is most accurate. Some people thought he asked to not have his name in the credits as part of some olde tradition, but it was something much more banal than that e.g. money.

Is that the same story with Rush Hour 2, then?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 28 July 2003 10:10 (twenty years ago) link

Because his accent was so bad?

Did you know that Cockneys, Ltd. has a ten-thousand pound hit out on Mr Cheadle? He has done more damage to the misconceptions surrounding the UK than a battalion of cheap costume dramas.

Yes, his accent blew chunks. Too bad as otherwise he's highly watchable.

He's ok in Ocean's Eleven...but nowhere near as good as when he's playing Maurice Miller in Out of Sight.

the credits also say "and introducing Julia Roberts"

also, what's up with the ripoff of the fandance scene from the Right Stuff? if it's a tribute, it's a content-less one.

two weeks pass...
The main question I have about this film is why is Brad Pitt eating in every single scene?

'Cuz it's Vegas! Cheap buffets as far as the eye can see - well, "back in the day," at least.

I bet Don Cheadle was in Rush Hour2 cause he wanted to be in a Jackie Chan movie.

p.s.
Brad Pitt is eating in every scene because he's a GENIUS.

I tried to watch House of Lies. It is horrendously terribly bad. I didn't feel like it was worth starting a new thread to say so, because it's so fucking bad.

I don't disagree re HoL, but Don Cheadle seems pretty awesome (the interviewer lays it on a little bit thick)
