What's it like, to be a Svengali?

It's hypnotic, sensual, and it saves money on drinks.

Do it for too long though and you end up looking like Terence Stamp.

I'm not all too sure of that, Matt. I mean, Rasputin was a Svengali and look at him. Maybe you were thinking of a Lothario.

Matt was probably thinking of stuffed grapes and how labour intensive they are. Another establishment, whose name I will not mention, offered stuffed grapes on the menu and that particular entre became so popular, they had to hire two midgets to keep up with the demand.

cool! you being one of them?

No, but I trained them for restaurant work.

They were previously employed as acrobatic riders in a pony show.
At first, they missed the bright lights and horse shit between their toes but now they have learned to love stuffing grapes and having clean feet.

I don't believe any of this and if CJ wasn't in a blissium-induced coma, she wouldn't either.

Being a Svengali is not all it's cracked up to be. It is very hard work indeed keeping up with all those lies, mapping out that manipulation routine, the constant praising of worthless creatures, those subtle yet effective put-downs. It may look like a life of glamor, think carefully before choosing this career path. There are many out there who resent you for making a decent living from this noble profession. They plan and plot against you, using poison as a favourite weapon. Hire a greedy food taster with fast metablism.
