Poll: Bob Dylan vs. Stevie Nicks

Fact: it's not really hard to understand the words either of these people are singing, but they do their darndest to obscure lyrics through odd pronunciation and phrasing.

Interpret this battle as you wish (I'm choosing to think it's about who's more fun to impersonate).

omigod:

Stevie Nicks, “Sleeping Angel,” Fast Times at Ridgemont High soundtrack, 1982

Or: there’s this line in “Sleeping Angel” which I think is the Stevie Nicks thesis line: “Two-part personality: the flower and the vine.” That blew my goddamned mind when I was like sixteen, like “Oh shit, so she’s beautiful but to be beautiful she has to choke out all other life.” But it took me like twelve years to realize it blew my mind because it was about me. So a lot of her songs — and I’ve said this before, but a lot of her songs, I think I had to grow into.

I love Bobby Z., but I've never ever been able to get rid of my crush on Stevie.
