it is kinda interesting that in the 87 sister poll you get the first hip-hop single to hit #1 (though 86 will show some stuff that is very very conscious of hip-hop) and then a couple of blips in the interim, very postive black medallions no gold, and then this year the last walls breaking down and dre and cube topping the chart.

sometimes the local r&b station will play that fucking chris brown "she ain't you" song and i'll get all excited that they're playing "human nature" and then, that they're playing "right here," but then it will turn out to be chris brown. that fucking song.
