I occasionally turn onto a late night metal video channel in hopes of finding something good, usually only to find tired derivitive death metal and hardcore videos with urban macho guys in skater shorts rocking their bald heads towards the ground while the camera moves in a way to suggest the speed and loudness of the music. Even a lot of good metal bands have really offputting videos (all genres obviously have bad videos, but I rarely see anything quite so offputting as a lot of metal videos).
I've saw some fairly successful Negura Bunget and King Diamond videos but I'd like to see something that did justice to the vision of the music, which is a lot to ask for such ambitious music. Even stuff with perhaps some inspired horror film moments and imagery. This is not about enthusiastic band performances but videos with good film qualities. Hopefully leading to discovering bands too.

That demon above the city in the Opeth video is just like Murnau's Faust at the start.

Which Morbid Angel album is that from?
The King Diamond videos I referred to were "Welcome Home" and "Sleepless Nights", are there better ones? (including Mercyful Fate)

"God of Emptiness" (video edit) is from their major label debut Covenant. This video was made famous on Beavis and Butthead.
