Does anyone remember Annie Christian, the band on V2 who released "Twilight" in 1999 and a pair of later EPs, "Softcore" and "Saturday Night"? I thought they were awesome, like Joy Division on speed (in fact they do a mighty cover of "Transmission"!). Lead singer Larry Lean did some other things since then but I've no idea whatever became of them. Anyone?

i don't know what happened to them. "the other way" was a favourite song of mine from the year it came out but i found pretty much everything else they did kinda disappointing. on the upside it was easy and cheap to find it all.

A mate of mine is (was?) pally with them. They split in the early 2000s I think, then reformed as The Last Great Wilderness and gigged around Edinburgh for a few years, but I don't think they took it much further...

Larry LeanThis is another song from our new EP, which will soon be available on ayeTunes (as soon as I figure out how to get in on there). Hopefully lots of gigs etc to follow. Really keen to do some house concerts, so if anyone wants us to come and play in their living room, get in touch!

Played a gig with Last Great Wilderness in Edinburgh about 2004/05, think they became Annie Christian again for a bit. Was always really fond of AC as a teenager, particularly the singles. 'Softcore' was great.

Gerald, I don't think so, but I bump into Larry once in a while, so I'll ask.
