I think it was EZ's recommendation that had me listening to Argus, probably my last addition to my ballot. Albums that would have made my ballot had I heard them in time: Argus, Windhand, Lento, The Flight of Sleipnir, possibly Condenados and Pantheist. I haven't yet finished absorbing Hell, Morne, Old Silver Key, In Solitude, Weekend Nachos, Absu and Turisas.

Funny how some of us wondered if Graveyard, Pentagram and Psychic Paramount would make top 20 when they were down under 125. Black Pyramid II might have made the top 125 had I not pulled it from my ballot, because I learned its official release wasn't until 2012. It was confusing, as ATIH was offering it in a special before the end of the year. Maybe it would do better next year.

I guess I should be happy my favorites Wo Fat, Obrero, Green & Wood, Dopethrone, Arkona, Leather Nun America, Eggnogg, Demonic Death Judge, Dark Buddha Rising, Maligno, Beast Wars got more than one vote. While Glitter Wizard, Crumbling Ghost, U.S. Christmas, White Wizzard, however, did not, I think they're deserving of a listen or ten.

Fastnbulbous - I'm glad my encouragement got you to listen to Argus! if I had completed a full ballot instead of just 20 then another vote would have been thrown at Eggnogg, Wo Fat and Maligno (as well as Windhand, Lento and The Flight Of Sleipnir).

I think if I could have voted for a top 20 and leave the other 30 unranked with equal points given to each I would have. I just didn't have the time or energy to listen and compare the stuff I liked instead of loved.

Was a bit unprepared for this poll, since it was my first year voting in the metal poll (and I haven't been a member for very long), but was exposed to quite a great deal of stuff in Outloud sessions which made voting a little easier!

I've heard a few more albums since my ballot that I'm really kicking myself that I didn't vote for, especially the Anima Morte, Cauldron and Falloch records, which would have been up there. Old Silver Key, Mastodon and Orchid would have went somewhere in the middle of my ballot.

For me, this poll was a case of getting involved on the Monday and having my ballot in my Friday, and as such (in hindsight) I don't think my ballot truly represents what it would have been if I'd had an extra couple of weeks to do some further digging. Nevertheless, it's been a good experience and I've discovered some great records, so I can't complain!

Yeah, Wolvhammer is really intense stuff but good. Fucked Up is also high-intensity in a hardcore stylee, I think a lot would depend on how you feel about the vocals, they're pretty gruff and unrelenting. Try before you buy maybe!
