weird that you should post this. i bought a cheap used copy of the zero zero LP on a whim a year or so ago, knowing nothing about it. it might not all work, but it's got so many strange things going on at once that i'm more charmed than appalled by the flagrant cheeziness. and thanks for the videos. i'd read that the album was the soundtrack to an australian TV movie musical, but never got around to tracking any of it down. would love to see the whole thing someday.

i bought this for a buck a while ago and didn't ever love it. but i also didn't give it enough time and i think i got rid of it. i'll watch the vids, maybe it'll give me new insight to the whole thing

if you think mike batt is a somewhat cheezy songwriter, the main insight you'll glean from the video clips is that he's at least twice as bad in performance mode (some wrenching mime fondness on display), but if you have a nostalgic weakness for aching synthpop in the vein of planet p project and peter schilling, it might appeal, albeit painfully. and the artmusic interludes are striking, sometimes more so than the would-be hits.

Scott, any interest in this one?

It's a weird rock symphony, somewhere between Tubular Bells and Godley and Creme's L.
