I am really tempted to vote for "All That I Got is You" partly cos I'm a big sap but mainly cos of the Popa Wu bit at the end, "And you'll see a whole universe/All over againand again and again and again and again" such a fucking moment

the production on this is some of RZA's best. but nothing is better than the ridiculous pic of Ghostface on the back of the jewel case.

I've got all the first round releases - but I stopped after the second Meth, Raekwon, GZA etc. albums all sucked
― Major Lolzer (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 19 July 2010 23:24 (thirteen years ago) link
I don't think most of the Wu solo careers could handle the RZA's abdication of production, with a few few exceptions (Ghost, ODB). Took awhile for most of them to figure out who to use besides RZA, some still haven't figured it out...
― Major Lolzer (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 19 July 2010 23:25 (thirteen years ago) link
I think "winter warz" was originally a cappa solo track on the soundtrack to don't be a menace to south central

shakey i think the third gza album (legend of the liquid sword) is pretty awesome
― hot dub grime machine (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 19 July 2010 23:53 (thirteen years ago) link
yeah I'm not denying that there's good stuff after the first round - it just took some time for Rae and GZA to kinda figure out how to work effectively without the RZA imho. Ghost didn't really have this problem for some reason...
― Major Lolzer (Shakey Mo Collier), Tuesday, 20 July 2010 00:05 (thirteen years ago) link
Iron Maiden, 260, Daytona 500, and Motherless Child are pretty much the only ones that really stuck with me. Daytona 500 is my go to track here. I love the production on that one - keeping it simple with turntables and rhymes - I wish more hip hop tracks would strip it down like this.
― Moodles, Tuesday, 20 July 2010 00:27 (thirteen years ago) link
IRON MAIDEN! I think THIS is Cappa's best verse on the album.

― San Te, Tuesday, 20 July 2010 01:30 (thirteen years ago) link
see, I can't vote for daytona cause it's mostly a nautilus loop and it seems wrong to say the best track on an album mainly produced by RZA is an overused sample.
