Bobby "The Midnight Burner" Bennett, Washington DC area legend, former station manager of XM Radio's Soul Street, displaced last year by the satellite radio merger and consolidation/move to New York, when Soul Street became Soul Town.
Walter Wade, former host of WBGO's Sunday night old school Filet Of Soul. Don't know what happened to him, some station politics or cutback or something, although I heard that the rest of the staff was sad to see him go. His show used to totally get me through the Sunday night cafard. I think Bobby might be retired and living in Pittsburgh. Really, I think that's where he's from.
I kept meaning to write to Lefsetz about him when Leftsetz carries on about XM/Sirius in his e-mail thang.
