Somehow everything we love about Beyonce and not much to do with Destiny's Child. I heard it for the first time very, very late last nite. It's on SoulSeek, tho hard to find. Any other thoughts?

i thought the blatant contradiction thread is the "boom bip not hip hop?" one?
at first it sounds like an old school Meters-style funk song done with synths like Daver suggested, but the closer you listen, it does weird things to your expectations. for instance, there's hardly any low end except for the bass thump on the one, and that guitar synth has a much thinner texture than a real guitar, so the whole rhythm track has a feel that's really trebly and video-game-sndtrk-ish. then when the backing vocals come in towards the end, it's like 'oh yeah, mids exist'. and all the instruments are way out of sync, which makes the whole thing even weirder. and beyonce's voice is kIllR. damn i like this song.
