In which we attempt to list all the songs, hit or not, that have sampled or (urgh) "interpolated" Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation".

1. "Ride On Time" - Black Box
2. "I Don't Know Anybody Else" - Black Box (more of a rewrite, really, but the influence is undeniable)
3. "Good Vibrations" - Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch
4. "Take Me Away" - Capella
5. "I Wanna Have Some Fun" - Samantha Fox

I know there are more...

A good companion thread would be one for all the remixes/samples for "Let No Man Put Asunder", which has pretty much been used in almost all the dance/electronic genres since disco (I've heard house, rave, minimal, nu-soul/r&b, breakbeat, electro, and even baltimore/ghetto house tracks that incorporate the song, or at least the suitcase line.)

Believe it or not, I was having a hard time deciding which of the two songs I should make the thread about!

7. "Touch Me" by the 49ers, no?

Nice description of the 49ers on Last FM, kudos to whoever wrote this:

"49ers exemplified two characteristics of Italo House: the taking of lyrical hooks from other compositions and the off-kilter approach to English grammar and narrative. The couplets that often form the choruses of Italo House records usually make sense in a roughly impressionistic manner (if at all)."
